WeSync laden zu einer partizipativen Performance im FLORIDA Lothringer am 19. März um 18 Uhr ein. Ein Livestream der Veranstaltung wird online verfügbar sein.
Die Performance ist ein Versuch, den Akt der Fürsorge zu einem öffentlichen Ereignis zu machen, der das Publikum einbezieht. Es ist ein Bemühen darum, Resonanz im Raum zu finden, wo Atmen, Syncing und Verbindungen möglich sind.
Die Zeiten sind im Moment wirklich schwierig und beunruhigend. Wir wollen den Raum nutzen, um den Fokus auf Verbindungen und Gefühle von Sicherheit und Geborgenheit zu legen.
Die Performance findet im Rahmen der Ausstellung “The past is looking at me” von Eva Burkhardt & WeSync statt.
WeSync: Agnieszka Habraschka, Maria Morata und Nirmala Salom lernten sich kennen, als sie Ende 2020 gemeinsam das erste Treffen der Lesegruppe bei Sickness Affinity Group (SAG) organisierten. Die drei verstanden sich auf Anhieb sehr gut und die Zusammenarbeit fühlte sich sicher und von gegenseitiger Fürsorge geprägt an. Sie beschlossen, eine Gruppe füreinander zu werden, um einander Raum zu geben, und Unterstützung anzubieten durch Schmerz und Empathie und Fürsorge und Dissoziation und Vertrauen und Angst und andere Dinge. Sie begannen Kunst füreinander zu machen. Sie nennen diese Art des Zusammenseins “syncing together”. Seitdem kümmern sie sich durch “WeSync” umeinander. WeSync möchte sich kritisch zu den ableistischen Kontexten, in denen wir arbeiten und leben, positionieren und neue Verbindungen und Räume schaffen, in denen Fragilität und Verwundbarkeit einen Platz haben und als Agenten des Wandels und der Wissensbildung anerkannt werden.
Veranstaltungsinformationen:
Es ist möglich, entweder vor Ort an der partizipativen Performance teilzunehmen oder sie per Zoom zu verfolgen. Für die persönliche Teilnahme ist die Kapazität des Raums auf 30 Personen begrenzt. Bitte deshhalb sehr pünktlich kommen. Wir bitten außerdem um eine freiwillige Testung auf COVID-19 vor der Veranstaltung und bitte bleibt zu Hause wenn ihr euch krank fühlt.
Die Performance wird kurz nach 18 Uhr beginnen und zwei Stunden dauern. Es wird möglich sein, die Vorstellung zu verlassen und nach einer Pause wiederzukommen.

Wir werden 15 Minuten vor Beginn, also um 17.45 Uhr eine Tastführung durch den Veranstaltungsort anbieten. Bitte kommt frühzeitig, wenn ihr daran teilnehmen möchtet!
Kinder sind willkommen. Es ist keine Kinderbetreuung verfügbar. Bitte denkt daran, mit leichtem oder ohne Duft zu kommen.
Es werden Kissen zum Ausruhen zur Verfügung stehen.

WeSync would like to invite you to A lot is happening now, a participatory performance at FLORIDA Lothringer space on March 19th at 6pm. An online livestream of the event will be available.
The performance is an attempt to open space for fragility and vulnerability in a public event which involves the audience. It is a critical positioning in relation to the ableist contexts in which we work and live. It is a poetic contemplation on discovering a resonance in the space where breathing can happen, and syncing is made possible. It is a search for fostering and recognizing new connections and spaces as agents of change and knowledge creation.
The times are really difficult and unsettling right now and we want to use the space to focus on connection and on building safety.
WeSync is composed of Nirmala, Maria and Agnieszka, who got to know each other through organizing the first Reading Group meeting at Sickness Affinity Group (SAG) together at the end of 2020. The three got along really well and working together felt safe and filled with mutual care. They decided to become a mutual support group to hold space for each other, through pain and empathy and care and dissociation and trust and anxiety and other things, and to show the support by making art for one another. They call this way of being together “syncing together”. Since then they have been caring for one another through “WeSync”. https://we-sync.net
Event Infos:
You can take part in the participatory performance in person or watch via zoom. For in-person, the capacity of the space is limited to 30 people. Therefore, please come very punctually. We also ask for voluntary testing for COVID-19 before the event and please stay home if you feel sick. The performance will begin shortly after 6 pm and go for two hours. It will be possible to leave and come back for a break

We just want to note that the performance was not conceptualized as an online performance. The online presentation is a means to watch the performance as a live broadcast. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to participate online but your feedback is welcome via chat at the end.
Access Info:
The event takes place in English. No DGS interpretation is available. The performance will use a lot of writing and live transcription of spoken elements with Otter.ai.
An audio description in English will be provided in the space and on-line, which will be accessible via zoom. If you want to use Audio description, please bring a smartphone and headphones. If you’ll be watching the performance online, you will be able to choose Audio description through a translation channel.
We will provide a touch tour of the venue 15 minutes before the start, at 5.45 pm. Please come early if you want to participate in that!
Children are welcome. No childcare available. Please consider coming low or no scent. There will be cushions available to rest.
